Annual Culminations

At Genesis School of Music, we believe music education is complete when students share their learning. Performances help students grow as confident musicians.

Annual Culmination Performance (Held Once a Year)

  • The highlight of our calendar, bringing together the entire GSM community.

  • Held once a year, it is a grand showcase of everything students have learned across Guitar, Vocals, and Music Theory.

  • Features solos, duets, ensembles, and thematic performances, giving every student their moment on stage.

  • Celebrates each learner’s musical journey while preparing them for larger stages in the future.

  • A cherished tradition where families and friends come together to applaud the hard work and growth of our students.

Ensembles at GSM

At Genesis School of Music (GSM), we believe that music is not only about individual growth but also about learning to create together. That’s why we host Ensemble Sessions every third Saturday of the month, where students come together to collaborate, perform, and experience the joy of making music as a group.

What Are Ensembles?

  • Small groups of students—guitarists, vocalists, and budding musicians—are paired to perform together.

  • They learn how to listen, adapt, and synchronize with one another, just like in a band or choir.

  • Students experiment with harmonies, rhythm sections, and collaborative arrangements.

Why Ensembles Matter

  • Teamwork & Collaboration – teaches students to work as part of a group, adjusting their playing or singing to fit the whole.

  • Performance Confidence – performing in a group helps reduce stage fear and builds comfort on stage.

  • Musical Growth – students learn timing, dynamics, and communication skills beyond solo playing.

  • Fun & Inspiration – ensembles allow learners to explore new styles and get inspired by their peers.

Why Performances Matter

  • Transforms learning into achievement – every stage performance validates hours of practice.

  • Strengthens discipline & responsibility – preparing for an audience inspires dedication.

  • Boosts confidence – overcoming stage fear is a life skill, not just a music skill.

  • Creates unforgettable memories – the applause, excitement, and joy of performance stay with students forever.
